January Paper Pumpkin

paper pumpkin january 2

Let me just first say that I just adore this month and last months’ My Paper Pumpkin kits!  They were both phenomenal!   And right now, if you want to sign up for a subscription, you can get a free set of in color markers with your first month!  That first month’s kit includes an acrylic block so it makes it a great deal!

The cards in this month’s kit were gorgeous and they were so thick!  The best part was that they were reversible!  You could use the color or the kraft side.

Now, of course, being the scrapbooking fiend that I am, I decided to use another demonstrator’s idea for some inspiration.  I took two of the card bases and used them as photo bases for a few of my Easter photos.  I added the doily from the kit and a few stickers for embellishment.

I lined the left edge with the Retro Fresh washi tape and added a Retro Fresh title card.  Since it was an Easter page, I couldn’t resist throwing a quick little watercolor bunny from Storybook Friends to make sure to convey the Easter time frame!

While I had a few of the Easter pics out, I figured I would make another page.  I saw a similar idea from Rachel Tessman, another demo.  I took her sketch and used my pics.  I took more of the doilies, more of the stickers, and also the free In Color Embellishments.

I love how many projects I can get out of My Paper Pumpkin kits!  I have two young children, so scrapbooking time is precious to me!  Most nights I get to choose one 20-30 minute activity to relax, so if I waste it, I don’t get any time to just enjoy me time!  My Paper Pumpkin kits are a great way to enjoy me time without having to think too much!  I can’t wait to show you a few projects from this month’s kit, too!

A little Valentine surprise!

IMG_1960.JPG (2)

Can you just squeal a little squeal of delight with me right now?!?!!?  Is this not the CUTEst thing you have ever seen?!?!?!  My friend, Wanda Swiderek, crafter extraordinaire,  made this for me!

Let me just say….I tried making this alligator embossed look on a project – I think a manly project – a few years ago.  Mine was NOT this cute and realistic looking!

Here is the ribbon wristlet – in true valentine fashion!

Wanda, if you are reading this, you need to tell me where you found these magnificent magnets!  Those two little silver circles are very strong magnet closures that are just about a centimeter thick and very sleek.  I’m pretty certain she got those at Hobby Lobby, I’m just not sure which section.  These would work great for future projects!

Inside, of course, was the best part – the chocolate!!!!!  Hello my favorite food group outside of ice cream!  Winking smile  Thanks, Wanda!!!  See you Saturday!

Valentine Treat Bags

IMG_1950

Well, as you can see, we have been busy little bees here today!  We had our Stamp Club snowed out today, so we were stuck inside.  We decided to put our time to good use!  We made these darling little treat bags for all of the special area teachers, office staff, aides for Halleigh’s school.  I thought they turned out rather cute!
