Thanks, deer!

Here's a sweet little bag to say thank you to my hostess for this month. She is actually in high school, so since deer and wildlife are all the trend right now, I thought I would make her a little bag with the Forest Friends stamp set.
The DSP is Washington Apple with Very Vanilla as the background. The ink colors are Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, and Riding Hood Red. I still like those old in colors!

Layered Circle Circus

Being on vacation has meant that I have not gotten to purchase ANYTHING yet from the new catalogue! Plus, all the demos just got a sneak peek at what is coming in the fall mini catalogue....can I just say that I wish I was rich??? Anyway, in my wishes to have a few new Simply Scrappin' kits to play with, I decided that I would just take a few of the color schemes and make cards or layouts with them. Thus....
Pink Passion, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie. I used the scallop circle from Circle Circus to create this. I just kept stampin it in different colors and punching it with different sized circles. I used the circle texture plate for the pink passion background and used the bubbly stamp for the turquoise strip. Finally, I added some crystal effects to the centers of each one of these circles. In the end...I was pleased and decided that I can't wait to get my hands on those Simply Scrappin' kits!!!

I'm back!!!

Did you miss me? Did you think I fell off the face of the Earth? Nah....I just didn't want to post on the web that I was going on vacation for 16 days! We just celebrated our 10th anniversary, so we had a great time in southern Florida and on a cruise to the Western Carribean....it is sooooooo beautiful there. I've never seen such beautiful water in all of my life!
Anyway...I stole the idea for this from the Stampin' Success magazine that we demonstrators get. I just decided to put my own little twist on the layout.
The card has a white card base and then it uses Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Rose Red, and Bermuda Bay colors for ink/paper/brads/ribbon. The two stamp sets used were Circle Circus and the Love You Much set. If you're coming to my club meeting on Sunday, you get to make this and a couple of other goodies I'll post later!
