Eggcoutrements classes coming up the next two weekends!

Well, this class has been so popular that I had to set two class dates for this project! Well, I'm sure you can see from the pictures why it's so popular - look how adorable these little bunnies are!

In this class you will make 8 darling Easter cards (2 each of 4 designs) and 2 bunny baskets for holding all of those treats. In addition, I will email you a step by step pdf picture tutorial so you can recreate this same project as many times as you want at home!

Sketches 4 U Challenge

As the guest designer on Sketches for You, I was encouraged to post a challenge for the month of March. Here is the challenge I have posted at http://sketchesforyou.ning.com/

I posted this layout and encouraged scrappers to create a layout using an overlay, chipboard, and paper piercing.

I used the Summer Home Simply Scrappin' kit to create this page. I pierced a set of parallel lines above and below the border on the title strip. I put a closeup pic of the overlay that I used for my journaling. Finally, I inked up a strip of scalloped chipboard (from the clearance rack on my SU! website!!!) and tied a scrap of ribbon around it to finish off the page.

Clear overlay and embosslit scrapbook page

Here is a page I made using a few items I bought because I loved them and then let them sit for a while. I had to have these overlays, but couldn't decide what to do with them. Then, I just had to have the butterflies and adored them on everyone elses pages but my own. Thus, I put them both together for a page that is even lovelier in person!

I used Pale Plum for my background and some rich razzleberry to accent. In addition, I had a few little purple paper flowers that I accented the overlay with and anchored with white brads. For my final touch, I sponged each butterly with ink and added a little crystal effects and dazzling diamonds to the center of the butterflies.

My favorite part of all, though, is the pic of my two darlings!

Here's a little get well card I made for a friend who is in the hospital for surgery this week. I hope this makes her day.
I started with a card from the scallop circle die cut. I punched two horizontal slot punches on the side and threaded ribbon through that for the side. Next, I layered a 3 1/4" circle on top with the Sending Love specialty paper.
For my image, I used the Animal Crackers set. I stamped it in StazOn on watercolor paper and added just a tiny bit of watercoloring with my watercolored pencils. I also added some cotton on the tail, because all bunnies need cottontails! I punched this out with my 1 3/4" circle punch.
Finally, I used some flowers and rhinestones to create a trail of flowers for the bunny to hop through.

Monkey Match

I love the sock monkey. I thought it would also make a super cute game for my daughter to practice her counting. We just used a gallon sized paint bucket and lots of stamps to make this Monkey Match game.

Here is the outside of the bucket and the cards to go inside....lots and lots of scalloped circles! I stamped the number word and used a matching number sticker for each card. For the match I made a card with one of the sock monkey accessories that had that number of items on it, for instance, 2 pumpkins for two, 10 flowers for 10.

I love the swirly diecut!

Okay, I just have to say that I LOVE the swirly die cut! I could make a gazillion things with it! Here is a scrapbook page I made using it and the last few pieces of my clearance scrapbook kit! That was money well spent! I made a mini scrapbook for a gift as well as 3 double page layouts and I STILL have leftover paper to use on other projects! I love Simply scrappin' kits, too!

Little punched circle flowers - a great accent for your scrapbook pages!

Got Eggs? I made this layout with the retired Simpy Scrappin' Kit again. I love the soft colors and the white space in the layout. I decided to add a few of the little punch flowers that were demonstrated in Stampin' Success magazine this time. Don't get the magazine? It's just one of the many wonderful benefits of being a Stampin' Up demonstrator - let me know if you're interested in becoming one!

By the way, if you're wondering what circle punches to use - I used one 1 3/4", three 1 3/8" circles, and one 1 1/4" circle to make these. I just snipped each edge toward the center and sponged each with Regal Rose ink. I layered the flowers and punched a small hole in the center for the pretty in pink corduroy button brad. Finally, fluff the edges and curl them upward and you will have a darling 3-dimensional flower that is very easy on the budget!
