Fast and Fabulous purse and card!

 You know...there's a reason this stamp set is called Fast and Fabulous!  This really is a fast and fabulous set!  This darling little purse is a great spot to hold a surprise treat like cookies or some other great treat.  Plus, it's so easy to make - it is a sheet of 12X12 paper with NO CUTTING!  Yes, you read that correctly! 

Adding to the fast and fabulous is a great technique called spotlighting.  I repeatedly stamped this flower image in black and white and then punched out one flower that was in color.  Just enough of a pop of color to make it vibrant and the layout is simple enough to just simply add a greeting and pop it into the mailbox.  You know, it is up to us to keep the mailmen in business!  Hee hee!  I am certain they appreciate all of this papercrafting business....even if it is a little froofy for them!

Thank you cards

 I got inspired to create these thank you cards from a design I found at UStamp this week.  There are tons of cute ideas being thrown out during this class! 

 If you look really closely, you'll notice that every single piece used on these cards is from a scrap!  I even figured out that you can run those little 1/2" strips of paper through the scallop trim punch for a cute little border!  I promise, though, I will not keep every single 1/2" strip.....I just found another use for them!

The first Valentine card of the season!

Here is a little Valentine card I made today for the Filled with Love promotion.  When you purchase the bundle of Real Red and Pretty in Pink DSP with the Filled with Love stamp set, you get a free package of Bitty Buttons!
I made this card using the Lots of Love Letterpress plate.  I used Regal Rose paper and craft ink and highlighted the word love with Real Red ink.  I used the Filled with Love stamp set to create the heart.  I highlighted that tiny little heart with my white gel pen and of course added chunky red glitter around the edges.  I finished it off with some Real Red DSP (in the bundle) and some Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon.  Quick and easy and beautiful....just the way I like them!

Exciting news - a new design team!

I can officially tell you the great news!!  I am going to be on the design team for ScrapFIT starting in February!  Yeah!  I'm so excited! 

So....on to the specifics of this page:  I used two challenges to make this page.  I used the sketch #38 from Sketchabilities and the ScrapFIT workout #35 - Scrap it with your scraps!  Now, I must say.....this is right up my alley!  I am a scrap hoarder.....you know you're out there grinning because you do it, too! 

Anyway, I made all of the flowers on this layout using scraps of whisper white paper.  I stamped the flowers using the Flower Fancy stamp set, cut them out, and then distressed them using my rolling empressor.  It gives the flowers a mucher more realistic 3-dimensionsal feel.  And...of course, it wouldn't be glitteriffic without some glitter in the center of the flower and glittery leaves!

Tangled! hits the scrapbook page

This is actually my second post for the day, so if you want to see another cute little accordian book, scroll down!

I haven't done any PageMaps sketches in a while, so I thought I would start the new year with a sketch from PageMaps.  You can see it kind of turned it a little topsy turvy. 

 I had a little locket of my daughter's hair that I wanted to include on the page, so I created a little window to hold the hair.  I used one of the scallop squares off of the scallop square duo diecut for Sizzix to create the container.  I made two of them and punched a square in the top one to create a window.  I put a tiny scrap of clear window sheet underneath and adhered everything with a strip of dimensional tape under each side of the window.  It was a little too plain like it was and so I wanted to doll it up some without taking away from the view of the lockets, so I made a little square of rhinestones and added a scrap of the little border to it so it wasn't too busy. 

And since I was in the coloring mood, I thought Tangled would be a great title for her first haircut!  Of course, I just had to use the Little Honeys Rapunzel as an accent for the title!  So stinkin' cute!!!  Well, almost as cute as my little princess, anyway!

UStamp going on now!

 I am such a sucker for online classes.  I just love to learn and get new ideas, so I am taking the New Years class at UStamp with Dawn and friends.  This little accordian album was one of the first ideas shown during the class.  It was truly so quick and easy to make, I may make it for our club meeting this month! 

 I used the Just Believe and Fifth Avenue Floral stamp sets to accent the tiny pages.

 I loved this color combo - Pear Pizzazz (no Kiwi Kiss pen), Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy.  Gorgeous together!

 I really like the soft look of this stamp on here.  I tried to make this journaling like a notebook.

Here was another quick little accent....just a few rhinestones....not enough room for anything else, but it adds just a tiny bit of sparkle to the page!

I am starting with 3 cards I made from scraps.  Everything except for the  bases was a scrap!  This first card is from yesterday's layout.

 I recently won these adorable images from Sassy Studio Designs.  Since my daughter is a huge fan of Disney, she really wanted me to get the Disney princesses!  So for the Dare to be Sassy Thursday challenge, you were supposed to make a Thank You card.  Here is a thank you card I made with a leftover rub-on.  I also got to play with my new Copic markers for the first time!  I'm certainly not good at using Copics yet, but I think I did okay for the first time.  Now....only the dresses and faces in the images are Copics.  The hair and pumpkin are SU markers.  All other supplies are SU.

 Here is another little scrap card - for a total of 3.  Since I was out of thank you rub-ons, I decided to do a Happy Birthday card - what little girl wouldn't like a Tangled birthdya card with blingy flowers?  The Copic Creations challenge was to use bling, so I used some leftover Jolee's Boutique purple flowers with rhinestones in them. 

Finally, I found a great sketch by Liz Chidester over at The Scrappiest.  On this one, I decided to use the new vintage flower embellishments in Rose Red and my new Glimmer Mist/Glimmer Screens.  I was so pleased with the results!
