More Holiday Decor!

Joy is in the air! Time for Christmas lights everywhere! Is that a chance of snow I hear?
Here is another idea for a card. I used all materials from the Country Living kit. I stamped the stars and cut red paper to go around them.

For this star, I used a leftover from another project to create another picture frame ornament. I just put white paper behind it to make sure the picture would be protected on the back.

This ornament has a circle suspended in the center. If you want to do this with your kit, only put the paper on ONE side of the ornament. Then, use some glue dots to adhere the silver elastic cording to the chipboard. Create a loop and adhere this to the top of the ornament. THEN cover this side with your paper.

Well, it looks a little blurry, but this is another hanging ornament I made with stars from the Star Bright kit and pieces of chipboard from the Country Living kit. I just poked a little hole at the top and bottom of each piece and tied a piece of elastic cord.

Last one - a gift bag using chipboard and pieces of cutouts from the Country Living kit. This is great to put homemade candy in. Yummy!

Jingle all the way!

Well, here is a one of a kind, decoration you can make for less than $10! That's my kind of deal! I took a lovely gold plate (the color in the picture doesn't do it justice!) from Michaels and a few sprigs of pine, a few bells, and the easy to use Decor Element from SU to make this in about 10 minutes. It's too cute and makes a great accent to complement our gold theme in our living room. The best part- is the vinyl cling on saying only cost $3.95 and took about 2 minutes maximum to apply to the plate! I love it!

Now, as for this item...paper trees seem to be all the rage lately, so I've been just waiting to make one of these! It was actually very easy, also. I used the paper strips from the Star Bright kit to put onto a foam cone with straight pins. I used the large stars for the top and added a few flowers I punched out and accented with a sparkling brad to give it just a touch of bling. Even Toby liked it! Yeah!

Christmas time is here!

Okay, here is the first of a few projects I made for the Holiday Extravaganza class. This is just a plain white gift bag that I stamped to decorate.

This is an ornament I made that was inspired by another blogger, jackietopa from Addicted to Stamping. I used a transparency sheet and stamped snowflakes using glue and sprinkled a little glitter on them. Then I hung a few stars from the center and used the paper globes for the top and bottom. The only problem was I forgot to think about how I would close the transparency sheet! A little got glue did the trick.

And here is yet another ornament I made for the class that I completely CASED (Copy and Steal Everything)! Barb Mullikin had this great 3-dimensional ornament. I actually hung my ornament inside a red berry wreath hanging on the wall.

Finally, here is a card that was very simple to make. It is just a white card with riding hood red paper, whisper white ink, old olive ribbon and one of the wonderful cutouts from the Holiday Collection! I love things that are easy to make. The first man a girl falls in love with is her daddy!

While looking at one of Angela Ashley's outstanding photography books she made of my friend, I decided that the next page I needed to make needed to center on my daughter's love for her daddy. I couldn't resist using that saying for the title of the page. I always remember my own dad being like a superhero to me and fortunately, I have my very own superhero for a husband. It is only natural for me to try to convey that same love to my darling daughter. You can't see underneath the title, but I used some of my flower stamps from the Fresh Cuts set to stamp a border for a journaling pullout. That way Halleigh can pull out the journaling to see my thoughts about how much I love her Poppy and how I hope she will always love her daddy as much as I do!

Happy Turkey Day!

Just in time for Thanksgiving, a project which can be used for anything! I'm thinking this could be used for a placecard at your table, a Thanksgiving card, or even an embellishment on your next Thanksgiving layout.

Almost all of the parts of the turkey are made from punches or brads. I used the airbrush tool to add just a little of color around the edges of my white piece of paper. The eyes and buttons are just brads. So simple and cute!

Well, I've been gone for a while on a professional development trip for school, so here is a scrapbook page that I made with the Urban Garden set of designer paper from SU. I loved these pictures of Halleigh that my friend Jennifer Abner took this spring and wanted to use this paper to bring out the blue of the bluebells in the background and foreground. The stamp set is an old set I have had since 1998! Can you believe that?

Anyway, if you ever need a good photographer, just call Jennifer - she's terrific!

I Wish - Scrapbook in a Night - Part 1

Here are the first few pages for my Scrapbook in a Night class. Since I really did design and complete this scrapbook in less than a day, I know you really CAN do this in one night! That's exciting - this would make a terrific gift to give someone for Christmas. Or you can also use an album like this to add one picture each year and make an album that you add to as your child or family grows.
