Carolyn has been making more gorgeous cards this week!  Something I love about seeing her cards is the fact that she has lots of stamps that I don’t have!  For instance, she has 3 stamp sets shown in these cards that are still on my wish list!  I love the stippled roses in the first card!.   I also love that new stamp set with the little octopus – it is just so adorable!  I am loving that new baby stamp set and matching framelits, also! 

The birthday card is made using Endless Birthday Wishes and it is already sold out.  Stampin’ Up is getting a replacement shipment, but it may be a few weeks before it is available again. 

Carolyn says of her cards, “Cards I have made this week.  Most are made using new sets and in-colors from the new catalog. These have been cased and some have been changed a bit.”

I love all the inspiration, Carolyn, so keep it coming!

Petal Parade

As you can probably tell, I finally loaded all of my pictures I have been taking on my camera onto my computer.  These date back to March!  Soon I will start showing a few more recent creations!  These cards show some simple, but very lovely cards that use the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Petal Parade.  I loved the way you could create lots of texture using just the stamps and very little paper!

Easter cards

I made these two cards using this year’s Sale-a-bration and the darling little Eggstra Spectacular stamp set.  I just adore that little bunny with his tail and couldn’t resist making just a few little cutie cards with it!  I had more ideas planned this spring…..but as you can probably tell by the sparse blog posts, I was a little busy this spring!!!

Starburst Sayings scrapbook pages

One of my club members, Wanda, gave me the idea for this page.  I used the Starburst Saying Hello my name is ____ stamp for the page.  She suggested that it would be a great stamp for a scrapbook page and I ran with it!  I then started thinking about a song on our Christian radio station by Mathew West called “Hello My Name Is.” 

Anyway, that got my brain turning and I decided to make that the theme of this scrapbook page. 

I used the starburst technique to create this page.  Basically you take rectangles of paper and splice them in half diagonally to create this look.  I found a great tutorial here. 

Here is another version of the same page using a colorful set of Sale-a-bration paper I still had in the stash from last year. 

Guest Bloggers: Carolyn Manning and Jenny West

I’m back today with a great set of cards made by my downline, Carolyn Manning and her sister, Jenny West.  Carolyn and I went to the catalogue premiere in Lexington, Kentucky in April and we literally had the best time!  She had so many gorgeous cards to show me.  Carolyn and Jenny are both so very talented and definitely lots of fun together!

Here is another baby card they made using the owl punch and Itty Bitty Banners.

Here is what Carolyn had to say:

My sister, Jenny West and I were very busy this weekend. The Sweet Baby cards were made using the owl punch.  The cars and motorcycle cards as well as the rest of the cards, except for the last one, were made from a tutorial I purchased from Jenny Moors, a UK Stampin Up demonstrator.

The stamp sets that we used were the Rev Up The Fun (retiring and out of stock now) and the Chalk Talk Bundle.

I just love the colors in this one! 

This one uses the Itty Bitty Banner punch that carried over into the catalogue from Sale-a-Bration.

And now for the Chalk Talk Bundle.  This card uses a butterfly from Papillon Potpourri – love that set, too!

I really love this card with the tag going diagonal and that perfect little bow!

Look how clever this is to cut out one portion of that tag and pop it up in a different color!

And my favorite card of all – I love the color combo as well as the Serene Silhouettes stamp on the tag here.  Simply gorgeous!

Thanks for sharing, Carolyn and Jenny!  I have missed your creations!  Maybe this can inspire me or my readers to pull a few well-loved stamps out and dust them off so I can make something pretty like these cards! 

Blended Bloom and Blendabilities

Blended Bloom is just one of the gorgeous new stamps in the brand new annual catalogue.  How pretty is this stamp?  As if the stamp itself were not exciting enough, I used a new Blendabilities set of markers to color the flower.  Blendabilities alcohol based markers come in sets of 3 a dark, medium, and light color.  The two sets of colors that I used for this card were Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight.  I also used the Coastal Cabana marker to color the rhinestone to match.  The patterned paper comes from the Project Life Everyday Adventure journaling cards. 

For this card I used the Rich Razzleberry set of markers to color the flowers.  I love how well they shade from light to dark!  The mother’s day stamp came from the April My Paper Pumpkin kit. 

Fringe Scissor Frenzy!

These fringe scissors that are sold by Stampin’ Up are so incredible one of my customers just had to buy her second pair.  From the looks of these pictures, I would say it was well worth her money!  Her daughter made these cards using the fringe scissors she *borrowed* (wink, wink!).

One of the first things I noticed about the gorgeous ombre cards above is how some of the fringes are slanted.  How clever! 

Now, I don’t know about you, but this card is just absolutely stunning.  No breathtaking.  Well, it is just simply a work of art. I’m going to guess she used the spiral flower die along with lots of punches – hearts?  bird branch, boho blossoms and butterflies are a few I can see as possibilities.
