Snow Swirled scrapbook page

I'm going to ignore the fact that there is a bubble over our county which never allows more than 2 centimeters of snow to fall here...and hope that we will have at least one good snow picture this year! I thought I would make this layout for our club meeting. Our hostess, Britani's favorite color is purple, so I thought I would incorporate it into a layout for winter.

I used the Sizzix Big Shot to punch out the swirls and scribbles as well as the top note in Lovely Lilac. Now, you can't see it, but the whisper white frame that has the ticket punched corners actually is embossed using a texturz die that I found at Michael's (I just couldn't wait to play with my new machine!). The die is dots and daisies or something like that, but I thought it would work well as snowflakes on white paper. It just doesn't show up well under pictures - I guess it got stage fright! Oh well, we'll see if I can make another purple idea for our beloved Britani!

sing the Snow Swirled set. The color combo that I used was Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Green Galore. At the bottom is the Seasons Greetings in Real Red , but you can't see it very well in the picture.

Christmas joy card

Well, I gave in and bought the Christmas Creations book from Papercrafts. I'm such a sucker for their books! I just love to get new ideas and sketches for projects. Not that my projects ever look the same, but I love to get inspiration from magazines! That being said, the new magazine was the inspiration for this card. I used some scraps from the Christmas Simply Scrappin' kit, real red background, ink, and ribbon, and my lovely Snow Swirled set. I just love how the sticker defines what brings me joy...to be with my loved ones! Now, off to play with some new product! Yippee!

Stamp-a-Stack class

Can you tell I got a few new stamp sets in? I think the Snow Swirled set is just so elegant! I think it is a very popular set right now. I am thinking about using this card as one of my cards for my Stamp-a-Stack event on November 2.
