Simple gift bag

Creating a perfect gift bag doesn't have to be complicated. All you need is a brown paper bag and a scallop edge punch to add an elegant touch. Fold the top over and poke holes in it. Thread ribbon through and tie a handmade ribbon on and ta-da! You're done! A perfectly simple gift bag.

Peace be unto you

I just love this square medallion that you can make using the new scallop edge punch. I cut my square to 2 3/4" and just centered each edge against the scallop punch. To make the dove white, I used my VersaMark marker to color all around the dove, then I used a sponge paintbrush to brush chalk over the image. The VersaMark ink picks up the chalk and leaves the image of the dove white, signifying peace. I used some of the hostess paper for the bottom part of the card and used a Word Window punch to peek inside the card.

Christmas joy card

Well, I gave in and bought the Christmas Creations book from Papercrafts. I'm such a sucker for their books! I just love to get new ideas and sketches for projects. Not that my projects ever look the same, but I love to get inspiration from magazines! That being said, the new magazine was the inspiration for this card. I used some scraps from the Christmas Simply Scrappin' kit, real red background, ink, and ribbon, and my lovely Snow Swirled set. I just love how the sticker defines what brings me joy...to be with my loved ones! Now, off to play with some new product! Yippee!

Butterfly box

Can you tell I've been a little busy this week? I can't believe I haven't posted in this long! Anyway, I had 3 Stampin' Up events this week, so I hardly had time to get my things together, much less post.

Needless to say, I got a new stamp set in - Flight of the Butterfly. I just love how it looks with the Cameo Coral and Ruby Red colors. While it's not the same exact size as the butterfly on the Priceless dry embossing template, I thought it really looked cute with the embossed butterfly below it.

I made another one at my workshop Friday night using Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip. I even added a Chocolate Chip background using the Stampin' Around wheel - it was too cute!

Fall Scarecrow and bleached fence

I got my new Aquapainters in and decided to play with them! I have been reading about how you can bleach the color out of a piece of paper to do the opposite of coloring a stamped image. I guess this is a testament to the high quality of SU's cardstock! I bleached this fence on pumpkin pie paper at least 6 times and it still only turned out yellow! I guess that's okay, though - it's still a good fall color. I'm going to use this little 5 X 7 frame for a sweet little picture of Halleigh playing in the fall leaves. Won't that be darling?

Sweet Always layout

Admittedly, I will have to say I have not figured out how to get a good picture of a 2-page 12X12 layout, so if anyone has any tips, please feel free to share. My scanner is only large enough to handle 8 1/2 X 11 inch items, so it is no good for these pictures.
This is a layout of this past Easter (yes I'm still on Easter!). I have had this cute little stamped bunny for the longest time after participating in a card swap for Papercrafts magazine. I thought it would make a cuter embellishment for my Easter page, though! I just loved using the new Sweet Always designer paper for my page. My mom couldn't believe I was using orange on an Easter layout, but I thought it turned out okay! I am loving the new scallop edge punch, too...
The layout for the first picture on the left hand page is the basic layout for our 5 X 7 page we will be making during our club meeting on Sunday. As you can see, it makes a great frame for a cute picture of my favorite little bunny!
