Fringe Scissor Frenzy!

IMG_2070

These fringe scissors that are sold by Stampin’ Up are so incredible one of my customers just had to buy her second pair.  From the looks of these pictures, I would say it was well worth her money!  Her daughter made these cards using the fringe scissors she *borrowed* (wink, wink!).

One of the first things I noticed about the gorgeous ombre cards above is how some of the fringes are slanted.  How clever!

Now, I don’t know about you, but this card is just absolutely stunning.  No breathtaking.  Well, it is just simply a work of art. I’m going to guess she used the spiral flower die along with lots of punches – hearts?  bird branch, boho blossoms and butterflies are a few I can see as possibilities.

If you would like to look up more of her pretties, look her up on Etsy under Felicity Greiner.

Happy Mother’s Day

IMG_2065

Here is a nice, simple Mother’s Day card my daughter’s best friend made last week.  He is 7 years old and in first grade.  I just helped ink up the stamps and set them to work.  He colored using my daughter’s stash of colored pencils and markers.  I hope his momma loved it!  Smile

Who says stamping is not for boys?!

Stamps:  My Paper Pumpkin stamp (April 2014), Swallowtail

Fringe Scissor Monochromatic Card

IMG_2056.JPG (2)

Hellooooooo!  Anyone out there?!  I’m still here…just have been a little bit busy.

I made this card at our last club meeting.  I saw a similar card on Pinterest and couldn’t wait to play with my new Fringe Scissors.  And my flower die.  Just in case you’re wondering….they both might just happen to be in the upcoming new catalogue!!!!

Color combo is Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, and Pool Party.   Gorgeous color combo.  I used two of the flowers and a huge glue dot to make the flower.  Stamps are from the Photopolymer set Another Thank You.  Currently it is sold out, but it will be in the new catalogue as well.  Finally, the leaves are in Basic Black using the Bird Punch.

Have a great day!  Hopefully I’ll be back soon!

Blessed Easter

DSCF3179
We made this card for our club this past time.  We stamped the image in clear VersaMark ink and then embossed it with white embossing powder.  I used the blender pens and a few springy colors to color the image.  Since the image was white on white, I used my sponge to take some Marina Mist ink and highlighted the greeting.

Make a Wish birthday card

DSCF3178
I CASEd this card from Andrea Walford over at the Papercrafter’s Library.  I loved the color combo and the bright rainbow feel of the dots.  While I didn’t use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to keep everything nice and straight, I thought it turned out okay for just stamping the rainbow of colors!
I stamped the stars in Crushed Curry and used my old small star punch to punch out the stars.  Easy peasy and bright and cheery!  Great for a guy or gal. Product List

Sweet Sorbet scrapbook page

DSCF3176
We all just adore this Sweet Sorbet 12X12 paper that is available as a Sale-a-bration item.  That was the base for our last scrapbook page.  I went with a grid look, using nine 3-inch squares for the background.  I put all of my stamps I wanted to use from the Countless Sayings photopolymer stamp set on one big block for my main image.  I colored each of the parts with separate markers for a multi-color look that was very easy to achieve!

And here is what my finished page looks like.  How can you not love that adorable little face?!  I can’t believe he just turned two!  Product List

Hip, Hip Hooray Card Kit

IMG_2035
I just adore the latest kit from Stampin’ Up, called Hip, Hip Hooray.   The kit is so economical!  Everything you need is included – 20 precut notecards and envelopes, sticker sheets, Stampin’ Dimensionals, stamps, and ink!
The best part about kits like this or My Paper Pumpkin is that you have ideas that you can put together in literally minutes, but you don’t have to be stuck in that box!
For instance, my mom recently ordered this kit.  When she came to see me this weekend, she said, “I need a wedding card.”  My first thought was, hey what are we waiting for!  No dilemma here – we have a kit, we have ideas to get us started….let’s go!  She didn’t like the sentiments in the kit for a wedding…no problem!  I have a gazillion – we just swiped a sentiment from One in a Million and we had a sentiment for this inside and the outside of the card.  Literally 5 minutes, people!  $1 for this card AND it is hand made!!!!  Can I say, WIN!  Product List
