Stuck Sketch

http://stucksketches.blogspot.com/
It's a great blog with a weekly sketch to inspire you in your scrapbook pages. So I took the sketch and added a second page since I always like to do double page layouts. Here's what I came up with:

Lookin' for a good time? Join my Stampin' Up club!
Have you been looking for a fun time to get together and make projects? Our monthly Stampin' Up club is a terrific time every month! We have 12 members in our current club and 10 members have shown up at each of the last club meetings.
I am currently looking for new members of a second club. If there are 10 or more people interested in participating in the club, each member will only have to purchase $15 of product each month to participate. Then, on your month, you get to enjoy all the benefits of being a hostess! In addition, you get 2 free #1 ranked idea books and catalogues each year as a fringe benefit! What better way to meet new people, get great ideas each month, and spend time having fun doing your favorite hobbies?
I must say that just like all the other ladies in our current club, I look forward to each and every club meeting! Why not join now? If I can get 10 members interested in starting a new club, I will give away a brand new stamp set to one of those ten brand new members! Email me or sign up on my Stampin' Up website today!

Sweet Stems Votive Holder

Here is a votive holder that I CASED from http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/822529?cat=fav
to make for our club meeting. I was trying to work in just a little bit more purple for Britani! I thought she could use the same kind of design, but use other stamps for her wedding and use that as a very inexpensive centerpiece idea for her guest tables.
Well, what do you think?
Snow Swirled scrapbook page

I'm going to ignore the fact that there is a bubble over our county which never allows more than 2 centimeters of snow to fall here...and hope that we will have at least one good snow picture this year! I thought I would make this layout for our club meeting. Our hostess, Britani's favorite color is purple, so I thought I would incorporate it into a layout for winter.
I used the Sizzix Big Shot to punch out the swirls and scribbles as well as the top note in Lovely Lilac. Now, you can't see it, but the whisper white frame that has the ticket punched corners actually is embossed using a texturz die that I found at Michael's (I just couldn't wait to play with my new machine!). The die is dots and daisies or something like that, but I thought it would work well as snowflakes on white paper. It just doesn't show up well under pictures - I guess it got stage fright! Oh well, we'll see if I can make another purple idea for our beloved Britani!

My first two blog awards!!!
Do you know how long my blog list is getting? I spend way too much time enjoying other people's work! But...it's so much fun! I just love to get ideas from everyone else. Who knew when I started this how fun it would be? So, I must say thanks to Carla, Lori, and Jenn for encouraging me to start this amazing world of blogging. At my very first Stampin' Up workshop they told me I needed to start a blog. Thinking that I was not tech savvy enough, I brushed their suggestions off. But then I got home and checked it out...and, well, I guess the rest is history! Now you're stuck with me!
And now you get to see my not so tech savvy self! Here are the links to blogs I read EVERY day!

Now, I realize that none of these bloggers have any idea who I am. I have learned about them through other peoples' blogs! But if any of you happen to stop through here, please feel free to pass these terrific awards on to 10 more bloggers that you enjoy! I am humbled by your work and in awe of your terrific creations that I find inspiration in everyday!
You know the best part about it? I think looking at other people's blogs is so encouraging, too. I get down on myself pretty easily and just the other day asked my sweet husband if he thought my cards and layouts were okay. Of course, he is very supportive and thinks that everything I do is wonderful, but I always see these amazing creations online and think...man I am way too simple. Nothing I do is ever really that neat. It's okay, but I guess all that matters is that I enjoy it. Mostly, I just want to share the love of our family and our love for God with our family and to be able to give glory to God through my scrapbooks and stampin' creations.
So, anyway, here I am thinking that my stuff is only so-so and lo, and behold, as I'm blog cruising, look what I find, but two different awards for MY blog! It completely blew me away! So, this is probably a bit wordy, but it is all to say thanks to Lori and Carla not just for the blog awards, but for getting me to start this amazing (and quite therapeutic!) journey into the blog world. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite blogs as much as I do! (I guess I can't just give the awards back, but I do love Lori's and Carla's blogs - check them out on the side!)
