Pirate Party

Here is a card from the inside out that I created for my husband's best friend's birthday...his friend is turning 40, so we're having a surprise pirate party for him!

So, here's the envelope....we went all out - even got a Captain James Thompson stamp for him!  (Captain JimPat just didn't sound very pirate-y!)

So here's the front of the card - I tried to get as distressed and boy'ish looking as I could! I used White, black, red, and so saffron for the colors - all scraps, of course.  I distressed most of the edges and used the Pirate Party set for the image on the front.  The only other addition is some paper piercing and a little linen thread that added a boat feel.

And here's the inside of the card - just a few more scraps to finish off the 40th birthday card!
