I won a participation contest, so it helped me pay for the Artist in You class at the Sunny Stampin' room. One of the challenges was to reflect on your own barriers to your creativity. For me, my biggest barrier is my lack of self-esteem and confidence in myself. I never think anything I do is good enough. I hardly ever enter my projects into contests unless they are random drawings because I figure I won't win anyway. Don't get me wrong - I am NOT a negative person....unless it comes to complimenting myself - I just don't do that. I don't know why I am this way - I just am. So this journal page allows the truth to be revealed for what it is.

This is beautiful... I hope writing it all out helps you get that out of your system. I think we all have some self doubt about what we create, but as long as we are happy with the way something turned out, it shouldn't matter what other people think. And even if we're not happy with the whole project, I think if we at least learn something (even if it's what not to do next time) it's still a creative success. You really should believe in yourself, because you are creative, and you do create beautiful things.
